ORDINANCE NO. 394
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING SECTION 18-178 OF THE
CITY CODE RELATING TO OPERATION OF HELICOPTERS
IN THE CITY LIMITS
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 18-178 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, reading as follows:
SECTION 18-178. Helicopters, operation in city.
(a) No person shall land, takeoff or in any way operate an
aircraft of any type within th,e city limits of the City of
Cape Girardeau below five hundred (500) feet in altitude,
except in certain legally zoned or designated areas and their
approachways.
(b)
In exception to paragraph (a)
above and 30-38(C)(26) of
the Code.

SECTION 2. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
