ORDINANCE NO. pZ.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF PART OF
BLOOMFIELD ROAD JUST WEST OF HIGHWAY 61 AND
B.LOOMFIELD ROAD INTERSECTION, CITY AND
COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI FROM R-2
TO M-1
WHEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from R-2 Single -Family
Dwelling District to M-1, Light Industrial District; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as
prescribed in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held on
Monday, October 6, 1986;.and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, has elected to rezone the property described in
Section 1 from R-2, Single -Family Dwelling District to M-1,
Light Industrial District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change
'the zoning from the present R-2, Single -Family Dwelling
District to M-1, Light Industrial District, for the following
described property
All that part of Lot One (1) of a subdivision of 400
Arpens known as the Rodney Tract, in U. S. Survey
2199, Township 30 North, Range 13 East, described as
follows: Begin at the point of intersection of the
south line of the old Bloomfield Road with the east
line of a 10.78 acre tract of land conveyed by
Christine Keller to Mathilda Eggimann by Deed recorded
in Book 82 at Page 77 of the land records of Cape
Girardeau County; thence North 520 15' E., with the
south line of said Bloomfield Road, 88.8 feet to the
Northeast corner of a 1.257 acre tract of land
conveyed by Henry W. Kuss to Thomas F. Graham and Mary
E. Graham, for a beginning corner of the land herein
conveyed; thence N. 520 15' E., with the south line of
said Bloomfield Road, 103.0 feet; thence S. 28° 25'
E., 215.0 feet; thence S. 520 15' W., 103.0 feet to
the east line of said 1.257 acre tract; thence N. 280
25' w., with the said east line, 215.0 feet to the
beginning corner.
SECTION 2. The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present
time particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of M-1,
Light Industrial District, and that such changes authorized
hereby are reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the
existing uses and value of the immediately surrounding
properties.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval.
