AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAUF
MISSOURI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 1305 and 1321
WILLIAM STREET, CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAUF MISSOURI FROM R-3 TO C-1
WHEREAS, the City Planning and zoning Commission has
recommended that all of the property described in Section 1 of
this ordinance should be rezoned from R-3, Two -Family Dwelling
District to C-1. Local Commercial District; and
WHEREAS, Public Notice of such change was given as prescribed

in Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, and public hearing was held on Monday,
November 6, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, has elected to rezone the property described in Section
1 from R-3, Two -Family Dwelling District to C-1, Local Commercial
District,,*
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby amended to change the
zoning from the present R-3. Two -Family Dwelling District to C-1.
Local Commercial District, for the following described property:
1305 William -- The West half of Lot Five (5), Block
Twenty-one (21), in -West End Place Second Addition to the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as shown by plat recorded
in Plat Book 2. on Page 13,
1321 William -- The East half of Lot Five (5), and the East
half of Lot Six (6), in Block Twenty -One (21), in West End
Place Second Addition to the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, as shown by plat recorded in Plat Book 2. on
Page 13,
ARTICLE 2, The City Council hereby finds and declares that
the property described in Section 1 hereof is at the present time
particularly suitable for the purposes and uses of C-1. Local
Commercial District., and that such -changes authorized hereby are
reasonable and in reasonable conformity with the existing uses and
value of the immediately surrounding properties,
ARTICLE 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval,
