AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO FIRST
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH FOR REAL ESTATE ON
BROADWAY RUNNING SOUTH TO THE COURTHOUSE PARK
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Quit Claim Deed
conveying to First Presbyterian Church a strip of real estate
twenty (20) feet wide running from Broadway South to the
Courthouse Park, more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Lot Number Five (5)
in Range D and run East parallel with Broadway One Hundred
and Sixty (160) feet to the place of beginning; thence
South parallel with Lorimier Street One Hundred and Fifteen
and Three -Fourths (115 3/4) feet more or less to the North
line of the public square; thence East along the said North
line of the public square Twenty (20) feet; thence North
parallel with Lorimier Street One Hundred and Fifteen and
Three -Fourths (115 3/4) feet more or less to the South line
of Broadway; thence West on said South line of Broadway
Twenty (20) feet to the place of beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
