AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM THE
MISSOURI HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY AT THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH
SPRIGG STREET --OLD HIGHWAY 61 --OLD HIGHWAY 74
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hereby
accepts a Quit Claim Deed executed by the Missouri Highway and
Transportation Commission, conveying to the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, certain right-of-way at the intersection of
South Sprigg Street --old Highway 61 --old Highway 74, more
particularly described as follows, to -wit:
That part of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 24, Township 30 North, Range 13 East
of the Fifth Principal Meridian, described as follows:
Commence at the Northwest corner of said Section 24;
thence South 10 53' East along the Section line, 1160.6
feet to the North right-of-way of the Burlington Northern
Railroad; thence North 630 52' East along said
right-of-way 208.8 feet to the East right-of-way line of
Old U.S. Route 61; thence North 10 53' West, along said
riqht-of-way 416.82 feet for a place of beginning; thence
continue North 10 53' West, 63.74 feet; thence North 880
11' 29" East, 235.91 feet; thence South 730 03' 57" West,
244.29 feet to the place of beginning, in the City of
Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau County, Missouri.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
