AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF
LATERAL SEWER DISTRICT NO. 14-C-1, A
SUBDIVISION OF LATERAL SEWER DISTRICT NO.
14-C, APPROVING THE PLANS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A SYSTEM OF SANITARY LATERAL
SEWERS IN SEWER DISTRICT NO. 14-C-1, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY
LATERAL SEWERS IN SEWER DISTRICT NO. 14-C-1
UNDER A PRIVATE CONTRACT SUBJECT TO CERTAIN
PROVISIONS, IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the boundaries of Lateral Sewer District No.
14-C-1, a subdivision of Lateral Sewer District No. 14-C in the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, shall be as follows:
A tract of land in the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast
Quarter and in the Southwest Quarter of Section 26,
Township 31 North, Range 13 East, Cape Girardeau County,
Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Begin at the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of
Section 26, Township 31 North, Range 13 East; thence
North 880 09' West, 685.0 feet; thence North 00 51' 17"
East, 1114.31 feet; thence South 800 14' East, 165.3
feet; thence South 86° 28' East, 159.5 feet; thence South
780 44' East, 119.6 feet; thence South 730 52' East,
116.1 feet; thence North 870 14' East, 120.09 feet;
thence South 000 23' 00" West, 4.22 feet; thence South
790 22' 28" East, 155.97 feet; thence South 001 23' 00"
West, 960.41 feet; thence North 890 00' 00" West 153.50
feet; thence South 00° 23' 00" West, 57.78 feet to the
point of beginning and there terminating.
SECTION 2. That the plans for the construction of a system of
sanitary lateral sewers to serve Sewer District No. 14-C-1, a copy
of which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, are hereby
approved and ordered filed.
SECTION 3. That the owners of lands in said Sewer District
No. 14-C-1 are hereby granted permission to construct said system
of sanitary lateral sewers in Sewer District No. 14-C-1 and to
connect same to existing sewers in Lateral Sewer District No.
14-C, subject to the following provisions.
I . That proper authority has been secured to proceed from
the Missouri Clean Water Commission.
2. That all permanent easements for said sewers on private
property are made to the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, prior to execution of a contract for the work
of construction of said sewers.
3. That all City ordinances, Standard Specifications of the
City and State laws applicable to this project will be
observed in all respects.
4. That the quality of the work and materials be inspected
by the agents of the City Engineer of the said City, and
that cost of said inspections be paid to said City
following the completion of the work and its acceptance
by said City and the Missouri Clean Water Commission.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after ten days following its passage and approval.
