AN ORDINANCE NAMING AIRPORT ROAD; RUSH H.
LIMBAUGH, JR., MEMORIAL DRIVE AND JOHN E. GODWIN,
JR., MEMORIAL DRIVE, AT THE CAPE GIRARDEAU
MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. AIRPORT ROAD.
Beginning at the corporate limits of the City of Cape
Girardeau effective August 15, 1989, said point also being
approximately located at the North end of the Interstate 55
Outer -Road bridge over Little River Drainage District Ditch No. 1,
and extending Southeasterly 2,700 feet, more or less, to the
Southeastern terminus of the Interstate 55 Outer -Road, is hereby
named AIRPORT ROAD.
ARTICLE 2. RUSH H. LIMBAUGH, JR., MEMORIAL DRIVE.
Beginning with the intersection of the herein -named Airport
Road, at a point 1,260 feet, more or less, Southeast of the
corporate limits of the City of Cape Girardeau effective August
15, 1989, and extending in a Southerly direction 1,500 feet, more
or less, to the intersection with an East-West Road (herein -named
below as John E. Godwin, Jr., Memorial Drive), is hereby named
RUSH H. LIMBAUGH, JR., MEMORIAL DRIVE.
ARTICLE 3. JOHN E. GODWIN, JR., MEMORIAL DRIVE.
Beginning with the intersection of the herein -named Airport
Road, at a point 2,700 feet, more or less, Southeast of the
corporate limits of the City of Cape Girardeau effective August
15, 1989, and extending Southwesterly 600 feet, more or less,
thence Westerly 560 feet, more or less, to the intersection with
the herein named Rush H. Limbaugh, Jr., Memorial Drive, is hereby
named JOHN E. GODWIN, JR., MEMORIAL DRIVE.
The location of the herein -named roads being also shown on the
attached Exhibit No. 1.
ARTICLE 4. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof.
ARTICLE 5. It is the intention of the governing body and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall
become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may be
renumbered to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
