AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE GRADE OF
LEXINGTON AVENUE FROM 24.2 FEET EASTERLY OF
CAPE ROCK DRIVE TO 12.79 FEET WESTERLY OF BIG
BEND ROAD (STATE ROUTE 177), IN THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. That the grade as hereinafter described shall be
the grade of Lexington Avenue, Phases 3 and 5, from 24.2 feet
Easterly of Cape Rock Drive to 12.79 feet Westerly of Big Bend Road
(State Route 177), in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and is
in reference to Mean Sea Level.
ARTICLE 2. Begin at a point on the centerline of Lexington
Avenue and 24.2 feet Easterly of the centerline of Cape Rock Drive;
which for the point of further description shall be known as
Station 113 + 50 at Elevation 477.65; thence along a 100 foot sag
vertical curve to Elevation 479.65 at Station 114 + 50; thence
along a 600 foot crest vertical curve to Elevation 463.15 at
Station 120 + 50; thence with a descending grade of 8.5% to
Elevation 428.47 at Station 124 + 57.98; thence along a 375 foot
sag vertical curve to Elevation 410.68 at Station 128 + 32.98;
thence with a descending grade of 1.0% to Elevation 410.45 at
Station 128 + 53.50 (Bk.), which point is also Station 127 + 55.13
(Ahd.); thence with a descending grade of 1.0% to Elevation 410.00
at Station 128 + 00; thence along a 1,000 foot sag vertical curve
to Elevation 430.00 at Station 138 + 00; thence with an ascending
grade of 5.0% to Elevation 437.50 at Station 139 + 50; thence along
a 300 foot crest vertical curve to Elevation 443.50 at Station 142
+ 50; thence with a descending grade of 1.0% to Elevation 442.38 at
Station 143 + 62.50; thence along a 400 foot sag vertical curve to
Elevation 454.38 at Station 147 + 62.50; thence with an ascending
grade of 7.0% to Elevation 462.25 at Station 148 + 75; thence along
a 700 foot crest vertical curve to Elevation 462.26 at Station 155
+ 75; thence along a 200 foot sag vertical curve to Elevation
452.26 at Station 157 + 75; thence with a descending grade of 3.0%
to Elevation 449.01 at Station 158 + 83.50; thence along a 300 foot
sag vertical curve to Elevation 449.01 at Station 161 + 83.50;
thence with an ascending grade of 3.0% to Elevation 452.95 at
Station 163 + 15; thence along a 620 foot crest vertical curve to
Elevation 433.24 at Station 169 + 35; thence with a descending
grade of 9.36% to Elevation 421.87 at Station 170 + 56.54; thence
along a 320 foot sag vertical curve to Elevation 402.11 at Station
173 + 76.54; thence with a descending grade of 3.0% to Elevation
400.99 at Station 174 + 13.66 and there terminating.
ARTICLE 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
