AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SCHEDULE C OF SECTION
26-121, STOP SIGNS; SCHEDULE H OF SECTION 26-
126, ELECTRIC SIGNALS; AND SCHEDULE K OF
SECTION 26-121, YIELD SIGNS, IN THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. Schedule H of Section 26-126 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
amended by placing electric traffic control signs in the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the following location:
On North Kingshighway at Interstate 55, northbound and
southbound lanes.
ARTICLE 2. Schedule K of Section 26-121 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
amended by repealing yield signs in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, at the following locations:
On Grandview Street at Lisa Street, Northwest corner
facing North, Southeast corner facing South.
ARTICLE 3. Schedule K of Section 26-121 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
amended by placing yield signs in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, at the following locations:
On David Street at Lisa Street, Northwest corner facing
North.
On Longview Street at Lisa Street, Northwest corner
facing North.
On Longview Street at Magnolia Street, Southeast corner
facing South.
On Longview Street at Melrose Street, Northwest corner
facing North.
ARTICLE 4. Schedule C of Section 26-121 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
amended by placing a stop sign in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, at the following location:
On Grandview Street at Lisa Street, Northwest corner
facing North.
On Grandview Street at Lisa Street, Southeast corner
facing South.
On Lisa Street at Carolina Street, Northeast corner
facing East.
On Magnolia Street at Delwin Street, Southwest corner
facing West.
On Magnolia Street at Grandview Street, Northeast corner
facing East.
On Margaret Street at Melrose Street, Southeast corner
facing South.
ARTICLE 5. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof.
ARTICLE 6. It is the intention of the governing body and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall
become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may be
renumbered to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
