AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF
SPECIAL TAX BILLS FOR THE DEMOLITION OF
DANGEROUS BUILDINGS UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
CHAPTER 7 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU
WHEREAS, the Building Supervisor of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, issued Orders causing certain dangerous
Buildings to be demolished; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cape
to be demolished in accordance
certain expenses; and
Girardeau did cause said buildings
with the Orders thereby incurring
WHEREAS, the Building Supervisor authorized the issuance of
certain tax bills;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. There is hereby levied, and the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and ordered to place on file Special Tax Bills
issued in accordance with the Orders of the Building Supervisor
which shall be a lien against the following described property in
accordance with law, until paid or collected by the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri:
$2,500.00 -- 1211 South Giboney Avenue. Lot 6, Block 5,
Giboney Houck's Fifth Subdivision to the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri.
$3,500.00 -- 606 Olive Street. Part of Lot 116, Ingram's
Addition to the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
$3,500.00 -- 1441 North Rand Street. Lot 11, Block 8,
Red Star Addition to the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri.
$2,750.00 -- 539 South Ellis Street. Lot 156 of Range R
of Moses McLean Addition to the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri.
$2,345.00 -- 1011 South Sprigg Street. Lot 4, Block 2,
Giboney Houck's Fourth Subdivision to the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri.
ARTICLE 2. Said Tax Bills shall bear an interest rate of
eight per cent (8%) per year annum.
ARTICLE 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
