ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR
CONTINGENCY, PUBLIC WORKS, GENERAL CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT, STREET IMPROVEMENT, COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT AND INTERDEPARTMENTAL,
IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, hereby appropriates from revenues in excess of those
estimated in the Budget for expenditure during the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1997, for the operation of the departments
specified, in the following amounts:
Contingency - One Million Five Hundred Fifty -Five
Thousand Dollars ($1,555,000.00) for the grant funded
flood buy out and relocation costs and forgiveness of
loan due from Cape Girardeau Public Library.
Public Works - Seven Hundred Eighty -Five Thousand Dollars
($785,000.00) for fencing of landfill and completion of
an EDA grant funded water plant #1 supply development.
General Capital Improvement Fund - Three Hundred Thirty -
Five Thousand Dollars ($335,000.00) for completion of
airport and park projects.
Street Improvement Fund - One Hundred Nine Thousand
Dollars ($109,000.00) for completion of various street
projects.
Community Development Block Brant Fund - Seventy -Two
Thousand Dollars ($72,000.00) for grant funded economic
development projects.
Interdepartmental - Fourteen Thousand Dollars
($14,000.00) for Transamerica Corridor Contract.
ARTICLE 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
