AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A QUIT
CLAIM DEED TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS FOR SOUTHEAST
MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY FOR REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI,
AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
authorized to execute a Quit Claim Deed to the Board of Regents for Southeast Missouri State University, for
real property located in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri more particularly described as follows:
THAT PART OF THE EXISTING RIGHT-OF-WAY OF HENDERSON AVENUE BEING IN
PART OF OUTLOTS NUMBERED 8 AND 28 IN UNITED STATES PRIVATE SURVEY NO.
2199 IN THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 31, TOWNSHIP 31 NORTH, RANGE
14 EAST, ALL IN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE OF
MISSOURI, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
Commence at the Southeast corner of Lot no. 1 of Park Place Subdivision, a Subdivision on file in
the land records of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri in Plat Book 3 on Page 6, said point also being
on the West right-of-way line of Henderson Avenue; thence with said right-of-way line, North
06°22'11" East, 75.83 feet, to the point of beginning; thence continue North 06°22'11" East, 19.56
feet; thence leaving said right-of-way line, North 34°19'43" East, 83.17 feet; thence with the arc of
curve to the Northeast, being concave to the Northwest and having a radius of 180.00 feet, and a
length of 87.84 feet, (the chord of said arc bears North 20°20'57" East, a distance of 86.97 feet), to a
point on the East right-of-way line of Henderson Avenue; thence with said right-of-way line, South
0622'11" West, 207.40 feet; thence with the arc of curve to the Southeast, being concave to the
Northeast and having a radius of 165.00 feet, and a length of 63.23 feet, (the chord of said arc bears
South 04°36'31" East, a distance of 62.84 feet); thence leaving said right-of-way line, North
44°15'10" West, 74.63 feet; thence with the arc of curve to the Northwest, being concave to the
Southwest and having a radius of 87.00 feet, and a length of 47.15 feet, (the chord of said arc bears
North 11°28'57" West, a distance of 46.58 feet), to the point of beginning and containing 8,012
square feet, more or less. Subject to any easements of record.
ARTICLE 2. This ordinance will be in full force and effect ten days after its passage and approval.
