ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SCHEDULE A OF
SECTION 26-228 OF THE CITY CODE, REPEALING
AND ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMITS ON SOUTH
SPRIGG, KINGSHIGHWAY AND SOUTH
KINGSHIGHWAY, IN THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. Schedule A of Section 26-228 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
amended by repealing speed limits in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, at the following locations:
South Sprigg -- Cape LaCroix Creek to Interstate 55 -- 35
MPH. [MAN -1414,1-03-79]
Kingshighway -- Gerhardt Street to Interstate 55 -- 55
MPH. [CHA-2416, 9-21-98]
ARTICLE 2. Schedule A of Section 26-228 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
amended by establishing speed limits in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, at the following locations:
South Sprigg -- Cape LaCroix Creek to South
Kingshighway, referred to as Old US 61 -- 35 MPH.
South Sprigg -- South Kingshighway, referred to as
Old US 61 to Western City Limits -- 45 MPH.
South Kingshighway -- Gerhardt Street to South
Kingshighway, referred to as Old US 61 -- 55 MPH.
South Kingshighway -- South Kingshighway, referred to
as Old US 61 to Interstate 55 -- 55 MPH.
South Kingshighway -- referred to as Old US 61, South
Sprigg to South Kingshighway -- 45 MPH.
ARTICLE 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
