ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING IT NECESSARY TO MAKE
CERTAIN SEWER IMPROVEMENTS IN LATERAL SEWER
DISTRICT NO. 14-M-2
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, hereby declares that a public necessity exists for making
certain sewer improvements in Lateral Sewer District No. 14-M-2,
including the construction of a sanitary sewer eight (8) inches in
diameter along with manholes, wyes, pavement restoration and other
necessary appurtenances to serve Lateral Sewer District No. 14-M-2,
all as shown on the plans and specifications for said improvements.
It is the intention of the City Council to have this project done
by contract and to tax bill the property owners in Lateral Sewer
District No. 14-M-2.
ARTICLE 2. A public hearing will be held before the City
Council at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, November 19, 2001, at City Hall,
401 Independence, Cape Girardeau, Missouri at which citizens and
all interested parties may express their assent or objection to the
project.
ARTICLE 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
notice for seven (7) consecutive insertions in a daily paper that
the items set forth in Article 1 have been filed with the City
Clerk for public inspection and that a public hearing will be held
at the time and place and for the purpose stated in Article 2.
ARTICLE 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
