AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SCHEDULE C OF
SECTION 26-121 OF THE CITY CODE, BY
REPEALING STOP SIGNS ON HOPPER ROAD AND
MT. AUBURN ROAD, AND AMENDING SCHEDULE E
OF SECTION 26-283 BY ENACTING A FOUR-WAY
STOP AT MT. AUBURN ROAD AND HOPPER ROAD,
IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. Schedule C of Section 26-121 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
amended by repealing stop signs in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, at the following locations:
On Hopper Road at its intersection with Mt. Auburn Road
on the northeast corner facing east. [MAN -805, 08-01-73]
On Hopper Road at its intersection with Mt. Auburn Road
on the southwest corner facing west. [CHA-2846, 02-20-01]
On Mt. Auburn at Hopper, facing south. [MAN -101, 10-19-66]
On Hopper at Mt. Auburn, facing west. [MAN -869, 02-06-74]
ARTICLE 2. Schedule E of Section 26-283 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby
amended by enacting a four-way stop in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, at the following location:
Mt. Auburn Road and Hopper Road.
ARTICLE 3. Pursuant to Section 3.15 of the Charter of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, this measure is adopted as an
emergency measure as it constitutes a Bill concerning the immediate
preservation of public peace, property, health, safety or morals.
Accordingly, this ordinance will take effect immediately upon its
passage and approval.
