AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO SOUTHEAST MISSOURI STATE
UNIVERSITY, FOR THE NEW MADRID STREET
REALIGNMENT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: .
ARTICLE 1. The Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to execute a Quit Claim
Deed to Southeast Missouri State University, for the New Madrid
Street realignment, more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Part of Outlots 37 and 72 in U.S. Private Survey 2199 in the City
and County of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, more particularly described
as follows:
Tract A: Commence at the Northeast corner of Outlot 37; thence
South 890 20' 57" West along the North line of said Outlot, 468.36
feet to a point; thence South 000 47' 46" East, 8.64 feet to the
point of beginning; thence continue South 000 47' 46" East, 9.36
feet to a point on the South right of way line of New Madrid Street;
thence South 89° 20' 57" West along said right of way line, 141.91
feet to a point on a non -tangent curve to the right having a radius
of 52.04 feet; thence 34.20 feet along said curve to the right to a
point; thence North 690 10' 09" East, 6.71 feet to a point on a
curve to the right having a radius of 300.0 feet; thence 58.70 feet
along said curve to the right to a point; thence South 78° 47' 23"
East, 28.37 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 2,409.63
square feet (more or less).
ALSO:
Part of Outlot 72 in U.S. Private Survey 2199 in the City and County
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Tract B: Commence at the Southeast corner of Outlot 72; thence
North 000 26' 03" West 580.0 feet to a point; thence North 790 48'
03" West, 35.93 feet; thence North 000 08' 15" West, 47.74 feet to
a point on the North right of way line of New Madrid Street as
recorded in Book 1018 at Page 131; thence North 830 16' 00" West,
115.24 feet to the point of beginning; thence continue North 830 16'
00" West, 151.42 feet; thence North 850 10' 33" West, 284.0 feet to
a point on a non -tangent curve to the right; thence along said curve
to the right having a radius of 662.96 feet a distance of 69.24
feet; thence South 860 54' 03" East, 114.50 feet to a point on a
curve to the right; thence along said curve to the right having a
radius of 1,235.92 feet a distance of 153.15 feet; thence South 790
48' 03" East, 99.37 feet to the beginning. Containing 2,696.86

Cape Girardeau, Missouri, more particularly described as follows:
Tract C: Commence at the Southeast corner of Outlot 72; thence
North 000 26' 03" West, 580.0 feet to a point; thence North 790 48'
03" West, 35.93 feet; thence South 00° 08' 15" East, 32.78 feet to
a point on the South right of way line of New Madrid Street as
recorded in Book 1018 at Page 131; thence North 83° 16' 00" West,
274.63 feet; thence North 850 10' 33" West, 277.14 feet to the point
of beginning; thence continue North 85° 10' 33" West, 243.39 feet to
a point on a non -tangent curve to the left; thence along said curve
to the left having a radius of 662.96 feet a distance of 421.47
feet; thence South 280 53' 57" West, 47.30 feet to a point on a non -
tangent curve to the right; thence along said curve to the right
having a radius of 482.96 feet a distance of 509.55 feet to a point;
thence South 890 20' 57" West, 221.16 feet; thence South 000 39' 03"
East, 80.0 feet to a point; thence North 89° 20' 57", 221.16 feet to
a point on a curve to the left; thence along said curve to the left
having a radius of 562.96 feet a distance of 593.95 feet; thence
North 280 53' 57" East, 47.30 feet to a point on a curve to the
right; thence along said curve to the right having a radius of
582.96 feet a distance of 587.40 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 104,326.35 square feet or 2.395 acres (more or less).
ARTICLE 2. This ordinance will be
ten days after its passage and approval.
