ORDINANCE NO. 60
AN ORDINANCE NAMING OLD HOPPER ROAD IN THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
WHEREAS, on September 5, 2000, the City Council moved to
change the name of Hopper road between Mt. Auburn Road and Kage
Road to Old Hopper Road at the time the new alignment of Hopper
Road in this location is ready to be opened, and;
WHEREAS, Staff anticipates the new alignment of Hopper Road
will be ready to be opened in mid-February, and;
WHEREAS, for purposes of fire and police protection, medical
and other emergency services, and the general convenience of the
occupants along said streets and the public at large, it is deemed
necessary to apply a suitable name to said street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The existing Hopper Road, from the West edge of
curb of Mt. Auburn Road to its intersection at Kage Road, is hereby
named Old Hopper Road.
ARTICLE 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
