ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A QUIT CLAIM DEED FROM
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION, FOR
RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR THE EXTENSION OF PROGRESS
STREET
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hereby
accepts a Quit Claim Deed, executed by Southeast Missouri
University Foundation, conveying to the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, a Quit Claim Deed for right-of-way for the extension of
Progress Street, described as follows, to -wit:
That part of United States Private Survey No. 222,
Township 30 North, Range 13 East of the Fifth Principal
Meridian, in the City and County of Cape Girardeau, State
of Missouri, described as follows:
Commence at the Northwest Corner of said Survey No. 222;
thence South 060 24' 55" West, with the West line of said
survey, 2087.27 feet; thence South 800 56' 05" East,
309.22 feet; thence South 800 16' 45" East, 317.50 feet,
to the place of beginning; thence continue South 800 16'
45" East, 60.00 feet; thence North 090 11' 00" East,
102.99 feet; thence North 890 52' 00" West, 60.00 feet;
thence South 090 11' 00" West, 102.37 feet, to the place
of beginning, and containing 6,161 square feet, more or
less. Subject to any easements of record.
This conveyance is made for the purpose of dedicating
right-of-way for an extension of Progress Street
southward from its presently dedicated location.
ARTICLE 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and appy val.
