AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR
CONTINGENCY, PUBLIC WORKS, GENERAL CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT, INTERNAL SERVICES, PUBLIC SAFETY,
PARKS AND RECREATION, HAZARD MITIGATION,
GENERAL FUND TRANSFERS, ADMINISTRATIVE
SERVICES, DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES, IN THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, hereby appropriates from revenues in excess of those
estimated in the Budget for expenditure during the fiscal year
ending June 30, 1999, for the operation of the departments
specified, in the following amounts:
Contingency (General Fund) - Sixty Five Thousand Dollars
($65,000.00) for estimated costs associated with May 17,
1999, storm cleanup.
Public Works (General Fund) - Twenty -Five Thousand Two
Hundred Dollars ($25,200.00) for replacement of Nash Road
railroad crossing.
Public Works (Water Fund) - Two Hundred Ninety Thousand
Six Hundred Dollars ($290,600.00) for costs associated
with the Notre Dame water line.
Public Works (Water Fund) - Fifty Thousand Dollars
($50,000.00) for estimated costs for completion of Twin
Lakes water line.
Public Works (Solid Waste Fund) - One Hundred Forty
Thousand Dollars ($140,000.00) for additional estimated
cost of contract hauling and disposal.
General Capital Improvement (Capital Improvement Sales
Tax -Flood Control Fund) - Two Hundred Sixty- Five
Thousand Dollars ($265,000.00) for additional costs for
Middle Street Drainage Project.
General Capital Improvement (FAU Grants Project Fund) -
Three Hundred Ninety -Two Thousand Dollars ($392,000.00)
for additional costs for Hopper Bridge Replacement.
Internal Services (Data Processing Fund) - Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($50,000.00) for encumbrance of services to be
paid for next year.
Internal Services (Employee Benefits Fund) - Two Hundred
Forty -Five Thousand Dollars ($245,000.00) for additional
estimated operating expenses.
Public Safety (General Fund) - Twenty -Four Thousand Eight
Hundred Dollars ($24,800.00) for eight (8) months pay of
grant funded Juvenile Police Officer.
Public Safety (General Fund) - Sixteen Thousand Dollars
($16,000.00) for additional estimated internal fleet
services of Police.
Public Safety (General Fund) - Twenty -One Thousand
Dollars ($21,000.00) for additional estimated internal
fleet services for Fire.
Public Safety (General Fund) - Twelve Thousand Dollars
($12,000.00) for additional Fire overtime and related
benefits.
Parks and Recreation (Softball Complex Fund) - Forty -Five
Thousand Dollars ($45,000.00) for additional estimated
operating expenses.
Hazard Mitigation (General Fund) - One Hundred Seventy
Thousand Dollars ($170,000.00) for various grant funded
hazard mitigation projects.
General Fund Transfers - Ten Thousand Dollars
($10,000.00) to airport for estimated cost of restaurant
smoke house.
General Fund Transfers - Fifty -Five Thousand Dollars
($55,000.00) to increase estimated operating subsidy to
softball complex.
Administrative Services (Airport Fund) - Ten Thousand
Dollars ($10,000.00) for estimated cost of restaurant
smoke house.
Administrative Services (Airport Fund) - One Hundred Five
Thousand Dollars ($105,000.00) for purchase of Lipp's
Hangar.
Developmental Services (vision 2000 Fund) - Seven
Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) for additional
estimated operating expenses.
ARTICLE 2. The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, hereby authorizes the transfer of appropriation from
Developmental Services (General Fund) Personnel to
Interdepartmental Services (General Fund) in the amount of Sixty
Thousand Dollars ($60,000.00) for personnel cost charged to capital
improvement projects.
ARTICLE 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
