ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE CITY
CODE RELATING TO PARKING, STOPPING OR
STANDING OF TRUCKS OR COMMERCIAL MOTOR
VEHICLES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. Section 30-24(b)(5) of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, reading as follows:
Sec. 30-24. "R-1" single-family dwelling district
regulations.
(b) Use regulations.
(5) Accessory buildings and accessory uses,
customarily incident to the above uses (not involving
the conduct of a business) including one (1) private
garage or carport when located not less than sixty (60)
feet from the front lot line and not less than ten (10)
feet from any other street line or a private garage
constructed as part of the main building. No parking of
trucks or commercial vehicles, one (1) ton or larger,
except for making necessary deliveries.

Ordinances.

City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, reading as follows:
Sec. 30-25. "R-2" single-family dwelling district
regulations.
(d) Parking regulations. Off-street parking
spaces shall be provided in accordance with the
requirements for specific uses set forth in section 30-
38.

ARTICLE 5. Section 30-27(b) (10) of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, reading as follows:
Sec. 30-27. R-4" multiple dwelling district
regulations.
(b) Use regulations.
(10) Accessory buildings and uses customarily
incidental to the above uses, including
storage garage, where the lot is occupied by
a multiple dwelling. If a storage garage is
not a part of the main building, it shall be
located not less than sixty (60) feet from
the front line and not less than five (5)
feet from any side street line. No parking of
trucks or commercial vehicles, one (1) ton or
larger, except for making necessary
deliveries.

ARTICLE 7. If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct
and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions hereof.
ARTICLE 8. It is the intention of the governing body and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall
become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City

of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may be
renumbered to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 9. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
