A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT
AN APPLICATION TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM TO ASSIST IN FLOOD
RECOVERY EFFORTS AND TO PREVENT FURTHER
DETERIORATION OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND BUSINESS
IN THE COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau has successfully
operated a variety of programs through various state and federal
funding programs; and,
WHEREAS, funding for flood recovery is limited; and,
WHEREAS, the City desires to prevent further deterioration
to infrastructure and businesses in the community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. That the City Manager of the City of Cape
Girardeau is hereby authorized to submit an application to the
Community Development Block Grant Program for funding to assist
in flood recovery; and,
ARTICLE

documents.
