A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A RELEASE OF LIEN ON
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 306 SOUTH BENTON
STREET FOR THE JEFFERSON/BLOOMFIELD
NEIGHBORHOOD RESTORATION PROGRAM (HERO
PROJECT)
WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau previously entered into
an Agreement dated March 13, 2007, with Harold M. Petit for the
grant of funds to make repairs to the residence at 306 South
Benton Street - Parts of lots Eight (8) and Nine (9) in Block
Thirty-two (32) in West End Place Addition, in the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, all
pursuant to the Jefferson/Bloomfield Neighborhood Restoration
Program (HeRO Project), and
WHEREAS, that Regulatory Agreement (Home Repair Program) was
recorded in the land records of Cape Girardeau County as Document
No. 2007-03961 and the time period has now expired; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, to release the lien created by the agreement dated
March 13, 2007.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a
Release of Lien and to cause said Release to be recorded in the
land records of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri, so that the
above described property may be free of any lien or claim by the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, by reason of the Agreement
dated March 13, 2007, and recorded as Document No. 2007-03961 of
the land records of Cape Girardeau County, Miss ri.
