Our primary focus is to work with individuals and families to get into and to stay in housing, through home ownership. 4 -Sight Counseling would like to partner with the City of Cape Girardeau on the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) project through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. This program is parallel in scope and purpose for the mission of our agency. This NSP program provides for the purchase, rehabilitation and re -sale of foreclosed homes. The re -sale of these homes will be to individuals and families that fall within the guidelines of the 80% low median income (LMI). This will allow for low median income families to develop wealth through home ownership, which is one of our main functions as a housing counseling agency. 4 -Sight Counseling is anxious to work with the City of Cape on such an exciting venture as working with low income families to get them into home ownership. Another exciting feature of this program is to work toward the stabilization and improvement of neighborhoods that experience foreclosures. This program is designed to get low income families into home ownership in neighborhoods that are facing significant economic demise through foreclosures and home vacancies. Please consider this letter as an endorsement of the program and our commitment to work toward the improvement of individuals, families, neighborhoods and the community in general.
