RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE MAXIMUM ANNUAL
ASSESSMENT POLICY FOR TRANSPORTATION TRUST
FUND PROJECTS FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 2001
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The following is a policy statement setting out
maximum annual assessments for Transportation Trust Fund Street
projects for the calendar year 2001, which shall be as follows:
1. Residential Street Widening: No assessment if all
right-of-way and easements are donated. If any
right-of-way or easements are purchased, an assessment
covering the cost of widening the street up to a thirty
(30) foot width, including engineering, inspection, and
legal costs, plus associated stormwater work: Thirty -
Five Dollars and Fifty Cents ($35.50) per front foot
plus the cost of land acquisition for the total project
will be charged.
2. Residential Streets - New: Assess the cost of a thirty
(30) foot wide pavement with rock base: Forty -Eight
Dollars and Fifty Cents ($48.50) per front foot plus
any acquisition costs. The city pays for all other
associated construction work including engineering,
inspection, legal.
3. Residential/Commercial Streets - Widening: No
assessment if all right-of-way and easements are
donated. If any right-of-way or easements are
purchased, an assessment covering the cost of widening
the street up to a thirty-six (36) foot width,
including engineering, inspection, and legal costs,
plus associated stormwater work: Seventy Dollars
($70.00) per front foot plus the cost of land
acquisition for the total project will be charged.
4. Widening Commercial Streets: An assessment covering the
cost of widening the street up to a forty (40) foot
width, including engineering, inspection, and legal
costs, plus associated stormwater work: Fifteen
Dollars ($15.00) per eight (8) foot width per front
foot plus the cost of land acquisition for the total
project will be charged.
5. New Conunercial Streets: Assess the cost of a forty (40)
foot wide pavement with rock base: Sixty -Five Dollars
($65.00) per front foot plus any acquisition costs.
