A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT NO. 1
TO AN AGREEMENT WITH STRICKLAND
ENGINEERING, FOR AN EMERGENCY POWER
GENERATOR SYSTEM AT THE WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Manager, for and on behalf of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to execute
Amendment No. 1 to an Agreement with Strickland Engineering dated
November 16, 1999, for an emergency power generator system at the
wastewater treatment plant. A copy of said Amendment No. 1 is
attached to this Resolution and made a part hereof.

AMENDMENT #1
EMERGENCY POWER GENERATOR SYSTEM
FOR THE CAPE GIRARDEAU WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT
WHEREAS,an Agreement for Engineering Services dated November 16, 1999, now eacists and is in full force
between the City of Cape Girardeau, hereinafter referred to as the CITY and Strickland Engineering,
hereinafter referred to as the ENGINEER; and
WHEREAS, the Project Scope of Engineering Services dated June 6, 1999, now e�cists and is in full force
between the CITY and ENGINEER; and
WHEREAS, scope of services for the project was expanded to include preliminary design and cost estimates
for a 12.47kV standby generator system; and
WHEREAS, CITY agrees to pay ENGINEER for additional services in accordance with Section I;
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained in this Amendment#1, CITY and
ENGINEER agree to amend the Project Scope of Engineering Services as follows:
L FEES FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
The fee for performance of the engineering services shall be charged at an hourly rate plus expenses based
upon the SCHEDULE OF RATES listed below, with a not to exceed fee of$37,000.00.

Project Engineer 50.00/hr
Drafting&AutoCAD Technician 35.00/hr
Computer Technician&Secretary 15.00/hr
Professional Consultants ENGINEER cost + 10%

Blueprints, 24 x 36 1.50/sheet
Copies, 8-1/2 x 11 .07/sheet
Long-distance phone calls&postage at cost
Auto travel .30/mile
Other expenses at cost
