A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM TO AN ENGINEERING
SERVICES CONTRACT WITH KOEHLER ENGINEERING
AND LAND SURVEYING, INC., FOR THE MT. AUBURN
CORRIDOR WATERLINE PROJECT
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Manager, for and on behalf of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to execute an
Addendum to an Engineering Services Contract, dated May 5, 1998,
with Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying, Inc. for the Mt.
Auburn Corridor Waterline Project. A copy of said Addendum is
attached to this Resolution and made a part hereof.

MT. AUBURN CORRIDOR WATERLINE PROJECT
ADDENDUM TO CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
THIS ADDENDUM TO THE EXISTING CONTRACT dated May 5`h, 1998, for design services
for a waterline along Mt. Auburn Road and adjacent areas, is between the City of Cape
Girardeau, hereinafter referred to as the "City" and Koehler Engineering and Land Surveying,
hereinafter referred to as the "Engineer".
Except as modified hereafter, all articles and provisions of the original contract shall remain in
full force and effect.
ARTICLE I — SCOPE OF SERVICES
C. ADDITIONAL DESIGN SERVICES
At the direction of the City, the Engineer will modify the completed design,
to relocate the proposed waterline indicated on the plans from the east side of
Mt. Auburn Road, to the west side of Mt. Auburn Road, from approximate
station 6+70, to approximate station 42+25, as indicated on the approved
plans.
All aspects of the plans required will be adjusted in accordance with the line
location change indicated above. Items to be addressed shall include but not
be limited to adjusting of hydrant and valve locations, road boring locations,
and modification of profile elevations and views.
Additional Easement plats and documents shall be prepared as required for
the project in the relocated area.
ARTICLE IV — PERIOD OF SERVICE
The Engineer will commence work required by the addendum within two days after receiving
notice to proceed from the City. The addendum work shall be completed in accordance with the
following schedule:
A. Plans completed for review by city staff — Within 14 calendar days after receipt of
notice to proceed.
B. Final Plans revised and Completed — Within 7 calendar days after completion of
review of preliminary plans by City.
C. Easement plats and documents completed — Within 7 calendar days of completion of
review of preliminary plans by City.
The above times are exclusive of review time by other agencies and exclusive of time needed to
acquire right-of-way. The City will grant time extensions for unavoidable delays beyond the
control of the Engineer. Requests for extensions of time shall be requested in writing by the
Engineer, stating fully the reasons for the request.
ARTICLE V - STANDARDS
For services provided under this addendum, the City will compensate the Engineer as follows:
A. For additional design services, including work through the construction contract
award the City will reimburse the Engineer for the hours expended and at the hourly rates
set forth in Attachment "A" of the original contract. For the basic design services set
forth in this addendum, reimbursement to the Engineer shall not exceed $ 5,942 which
sum includes the design services for the modification of the completed design covering
waterline improvements indicated as segments 547 548 550 551 and 552 of the Water
System Master Plan, Figure 12 Recommended System Improvements
ARTICLE XIX
This addendum is made and entered into subject to the approval of the City of Cape Girardeau.

The following exhibits are attached hereto and are hereby made part of this contract:

Rates for all categories of work, to be used for this addendum, and for additional work as
required by extensions or options of this addendum, are included in the original contract.
