T},e Board attended a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Air Illinois on the occasion of t}�eir first fiight of th��ir new schedule. The Board then discussed the priorit__es for 1980. Grooving the run— t,�ays, ditcllir�g tl�e end of the runway.s, expansion of the terminal, ar.d the w<ter system. 1�9r. Stree� Listed Air Illinois priorities as needing r�ore space in the backroom or an area for security screening if possible. We have reviewed FBO agreem�nts available �n our files far a number o� mur.i- cipal airports in centra�i ane► western ..�that are camparable in airport activity to�,, .�, ��-��� � We find that fees charged for FBO operatians are not par icularly cons�stent but there is a laose correlation wiih City population. �o�ulations o� the above Cities range from Z50Q to 5300. Fees for providing fligh� �raining services at these a�rports ran�e `rom �100.00 per ,year ta �50Q,00 per year, The hic�her fees are at the larg�r a Gommunities. If hangar rental is separated, use fees for these services appea�� ta range from about 50�4 up to 100K of flight training services. Fees for fuel ard cil sales are more diff�cult to assess. Tfiese are someti�es combined with other functio�rs, are sometirr�s based on a per� aallon flowage fee and in sam� cases ar� a s�ecifieu fee. It is nat necessar�ly ob�ectianable that an operator provide� such services �a�hile leasing only T-hanaars space 1� this agreeable to the Au�hority. Rental of oTfice s�ace �., ather facilities on th� airpart would not have �o be a requiremento the 1'-hangar rental should be included in �the FBO agree� r�ntA If th�s is done a sQparate T-hangar lease wauld r�ot be req��ired with the tenant, � L�li4h recard to the exist+�lg FEO agreerr�?nt and �ublease and the �ssociated manag2m:nt agree�r�n� it �ras strongly recom�nded to the Aut;�ority at the above �eting that these agreer►ents be renegotiated into separate contracts with the p�r�ies invoTved.
