Fred Waltz Mike Wandrick Not Present Allan Maki Chairman Walker called the meeting to order at 4:05 PM. Robertson made a motion to approve the minutes of the 4/12/94 meeting as mailed. Nester seconded and the motion carried. Heldman reported all parking lot signage and the ornamental fencing and gates are up; however, the manufacturer installed the locks in the gates backwards. Penzel has been notified and they are working on correcting the situation. Striping of the parking lot is to be done the week of 5123/94, weather permitting; directional arrows are included in the striping. Heldman will call David Budd on 5/11194 concerning the ramp project; the State of Missouri is holding up the process. On 5/9/94 Heldman and Walker met with the man interested in investing in CGI, as well as one of his investors. The core group is made up of specialists, retired McDonnell Douglas engineers. They are talking about making an FBO the first part of their business. if CCA's problems are corrected, the group will negotiate with them; however, they do not want their clients to see CCA in its current state. The company, TSII (Technical Services International, Inc.), has offices in St. Louis and Salt Lake City but are not interested in any of the St. Louis area airports; they like CGI due to its location. John Mehner and Mitch Robinson also met with the men. Industrial development could be started at the north end of the airport. International companies may also be interested in our location; Emerson, Danforth and Gephardt have been contacted. Overbey stated if enough jobs are created state grants could be acquired. Enplanements for April totalled 510, which is the highest month we've had in five years. The first four months of this year surpasses the same time period in 1993 by 22%. Daily enplanements, which is the figure the DOT looks at, were at 20 for 4/94. EAS is guaranteed for two years; we are currently offering one flight more per day than the minimum required by EAS. There is a slight possibility TWE will have more planes available for new routes later in the year. Holdman brought the Airport Board up-to-date on events which will be occurring at CGI in the near future. An FAA -sponsored Poker Run will be held Saturday, May 14 with CGI being one of the final destinations. FAA estimates as many as 30 or 40 airplanes landing here if the weather cooperates. On Thursday evening, June 9 a "Wings" program will be held from 7:00 to 9:00. 2 - Robertson made a motion the Airport Board enter Into closed session. Wandrick seconded and the motion carried. L The Airport Board returned to their regular meeting from closed session. There being no further business to discuss, Nester made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Wandrick seconded and the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 5:35 PM. The next meeting of the Airport Board is scheduled for Tuesday, 6/7/94. Respectfully submitted, if 14" Sandra L.
