AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF
WARD 6 TO INCLUDE NEWLY ANNEXED PROPERTY
INTO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1 . The boundary of "Ward 6" is hereby amended by
adding the legal description of the following property newly
annexed into the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri :
PART OF THE NORTH HALF (N 1/2) OF THE NORTHWEST
QUARTER (NW 1/4 ) OF SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 30 NORTH,
RANGE 13 EAST IN SCOTT COUNTY, MISSOURI, CONTAINING
61 . 991 ACRES (MORE OR LESS) , DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS :
Commence at the Northwest corner of said Section 35
(nothing found - set 5/8" iron rod) ; thence S
00°00' 00" W along the West Line of said Section 35,
647 . 16 feet to the Point of Beginning: thence S
89°48' 25" E, 2721 . 18 feet; thence S 89°47' 24" E,
1355 . 18 feet to a point in the East Line of the NW 1/4
of the NE 1/4 of said Section 35; thence S 00°09' 30" E
along the 1/4 1/4-Section Line, 160 . 01 feet; thence S
20°12' 32" W, 574 . 64 feet to a point in the South Line
of the NW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of said Section 35; thence
N 89°47' 24" W along the 1/4 1/4-Section Line, 1151 . 93
feet to the Southwest corner of the NW 1/4 of the NE
1/4 of said Section 35; thence N 89°48' 25" W along the

of said Section 35, 462 . 54 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
ARTICLE 2 . If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct
and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions hereof.
ARTICLE 3 . It is the intention of the governing body and
it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance

shall become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code
may be renumbered to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 4 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval .
