ORDINANCE NO
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE EXPENDITURE OF
FUNDS RELATED TO THE CARES ACT GRANT FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2021, IN THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS
ARTICLE 1 The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, hereby appropriates expenditures related to the CARES ACT
Grant for
Police (General Fund) - Seven Hundred Forty -Seven Thousand
Eight Hundred Fifty -Five Dollars ($747,855 00) to cover purchase
and installation of new Public Safety radios
ARTICLE 2 ARTICLE 1 Pursuant to Section 3 15 (c) of the
Charter of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, this measure is
adopted as an emergency measure for an appropriation for the
payment of current expenses of city government Specifically, City
Staff needs to complete the purchase before the end of the calendar
year Accordingly, this ordinance will take effect immediately upon
its passage and approval
