AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SCHEDULE G OF SECTION
26-249 AND SCHEDULE P OF SECTION 26-248 OF
THE CITY CODE, BY ESTABLISHING LIMITED
PARKING ON SOUTH SPANISH STREET, IN THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT. ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1 . That portion of Schedule G of Section 26-249 of
the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
entitled "Two-hour parking zones; obedience to signs required;
placement of signs", reading as follows :
Spanish Street - from Broadway to William.
is hereby repealed in its entirety and a new portion of Schedule
G of Section 26-249 entitled "Two hour parking zones; obedience
to signs required; placementof signs", is hereby enacted in
lieu thereof, in words and figures, to read as follows, to wit:
South Spanish Street - Both sides, starting at
Broadway Street to Independence Street, and
Merriwether Street to William Street .
South Spanish Street - Both sides, starting at
Independence Street to Merriwether Street, all times
except on Saturdays from SAM to 12PM, May through
October.
ARTICLE 2 . Schedule P of Section 26-248 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, entitled
"Limited Parking (certain hours) ", is hereby amended by
establishing limited parking at the following location :
South Spanish Street - Both sides, from Independence
Street to Merriwether Street, no parking on Saturdays
from SAM to 12PM, May through October.
ARTICLE 3 . It is the intention of the governing body and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall
become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may
be renumbered to accomplish such intention .
ARTICLE 4 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .
