AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SCHEDULE G OF SECTION
26-249 AND SCHEDULE R OF SECTION 26-248 OF
THE CITY CODE, BY ESTABLISHING 30 MINUTE
PARKING ALONG BROADWAY STREET, IN THE CITY OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1 . Schedule G of Section 26-249 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, entitled
"Two-hour parking zones; obedience to signs required; placement
of signs", reading as follows :
Broadway Street - South side, from Henderson Avenue to
Water Street .
is hereby repealed in ' ,its a entirety and a new Section 26-249
entitled "Two hour parking zones; obedience to signs required;
placement of signs", is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, in words
and figures, to read as follows, to wit:
Broadway Street - South side, starting at Henderson
Avenue and extending east to 158 feet west of the
southwest corner of Broadway and North Frederick
Street .
Broadway Street - South side, starting 137 feet west
of the southwest corner of Broadway and North
Frederick Street, and from there continuing to Water
Street .
ARTICLE 2 . Schedule R of Section 26-248 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, entitled
"Limited Parking", is hereby amended by adding 30 minute parking
at the following location:
Broadway Street - South side, starting at a point 158
feet west of the southwest corner of Broadway and
North Frederick Street and continuing east along the
south curb a distance of 21 feet and there
terminating.
ARTICLE 3 . It is the intention of the governing body and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall
become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may
be renumbered to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 4 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .
