AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF
WARD 4 TO INCLUDE PROPERTY NEWLY ANNEXED
INTO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1 . The boundaries of Ward 4 are hereby amended by
adding the legal description of the following property newly annexed
into the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri :
ADDITION TO WARD 4
THAT PART OF UNITED STATES PRIVATE SURVEY NO. 790,
TOWNSHIP 31 NORTH, RANGE 13 EAST OF THE FIFTH PRINCIPAL
MERIDIAN, IN THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE
OF MISSOURI, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS :
BEGINNING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 13 OF TOUCHDOWN
RIDGE SUBDIVISION, A SUBDIVISION ON FILE IN THE CAPE
GIRARDEAU COUNTY LAND RECORDS IN DOCUMENT NO. 2016-00194 ;
THENCE ALONG THE WEST LINE OF SAID SUBDIVISION, SOUTH
04°33 ' 09" WEST, 536 . 38 FEET; THENCE SOUTH 24°20 ' 04" WEST,
274 .48 FEET; THENCE LEAVING SAID WEST LINE, SOUTH

ARTICLE 2 . If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid
or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such
portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent
provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions hereof .
ARTICLE 3 . It is the intention of the governing body and it is
hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall become
and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may be renumbered
to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 4 . This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .
