AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE AMENDMENT #4 TO THE STATE BLOCK
GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE MISSOURI HIGHWAYS
AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO FUND THE
ACQUISITION OF AN AIRCRAFT RESCUE FIRE
FIGHTING VEHICLE, AT THE CAPE GIRARDEAU
REGIONAL AIRPORT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Article 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to execute, on behalf of the City, Amendment #4 to the
State Block Grant Agreement between the City of Cape Girardeau
and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to
extend the timeline to finalize the completion of documents, for
an Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicle for the Cape
Girardeau Regional Airport, in the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, Project No. 14-077A-2. The attached Amendment #4
covers all remainin costs associated with this Project. The
City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to attest to said
document and to affix the seal of the City thereto. The
Amendment shall be in substantially the form attached hereto,
which document is hereby approved by the City Council, with such
changes therein as shall be approved by the officers of the City
executing the same.
ARTICLE 2. Pursuant to Section 3.15(a) of the Charter of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, this measure is adopted as
an emergency measure as it constitutes a Bill concerning the
immediate preservation of public peace, property, health, safety
or morals. Specifically, this financing arrangement with the
Missouri Department of Transportation requires that the City
execute this Amendment by January 30, 2020. Accordingly, this
ordinance will take effect immediately upon its pa ge and
approval. //////�����l
