AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A QUIT CLAIM DEED
FROM CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY FOR THE COMMON
PLEAS COURTHOUSE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 44
NORTH LORIMIER STREET, IN THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, hereby
accepts, and agrees to accept, a Quit Claim Deed from Cape
Girardeau County, for property located at 44 North Lorimier
Street, in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of Lorimier
Street which point is distant 100 feet northwardly
from the intersection of the easterly line of Lorimier
Street with the center line of Themis Street extending
eastwardly; running thence South 82 degrees 59 minutes
East:, on a line parallel with the center line of
Themis Street extended, a distance of 240 feet to a
point; thence South 6 degrees 58 minutes West, on a
line parallel with the easterly line of Lorimier
Street, a distance of 280 feet to a point; thence
North 82 degrees 59 minutes West, on a line parallel
with the center line of Themis Street extended, a
distance of 240 feet to a point in the easterly line
of Lorimier Street; thence North 6 degrees 58 minutes
East along the easterly line of Lorimier Street a
distance of 280 feet to the point or place of
beginning.
Together with the right of ingress and egress over and
across that part of the above described real estate
not herein to convey to Grantee an undivided one-half
interest in and to the aforesaid Common Pleas
Courthouse and an area 30 feet immediately west of and
adjacent to the west wing thereof, and a right of
ingress and egress to and from said building.
ARTICLE 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval.

Notice of Termination
Please take notice that the County of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, a political subdivision of
the State of Missouri, hereinafter referred to as "County," is hereby terminating the agreements
dated September 17th, 1979 and July 14'^, 1980, between the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
a municipal corporation organized and existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of
Missouri, hereinafter referred as "City," and the County.
The County shall surrender the buildings known as the Common Pleas Courthouse
located at 44 North Lorimier and the former library located at 46 North Lorimier to the City on
or before May 31, 2020, The Co.mry shall convey the County's undivided one-half interest of
the property by Quit -Claim Deed to the City on the surrender date.
The Comity requests an acknowledgment of this notice and acceptance of the surrender
of the premises on the date indicated.

the following, among other proceedings were had:
ORDER RELATING TO CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO CONVEYING THE COUNTY'S
UNDIVIDED ONE-HALF INTEREST OF THE COMMON PLEAS COURTHOUSE BY QUIT-
CLAIM DEED TO THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO
WHEREAS, the County Commission of Cape Girardeau County, Missouri hereby
wishes to convey unto the City of Cape Girardeau the county's undivided one-half
interest of the Common Pleas Courthouse by Quit -Claim deed. The property located at 44
N. Lorimier Cape Girardeau, MO is described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the easterly line of Lorimier Street which point is distant
100 feet uorthwardly from the intersection of the easterly line of Lorimier Street
with the center line of Themis Street extending eastwardly; running thence South
82 degrees 59 minutes East, on a line parallel with the center line of Themis Street
extended, a distance of 240 feet to a point; thence South 6 degrees 58 minutes
West, on a line parallel with the easterly line of Lorimier Street, a distance of 280
feet to a point; thence North 82 degrees 59 minutes West, on a line parallel with
the center line of Themis Street extended, a distance of 240 feet to a point in the
easterly line of Lorimier Street; thence North 6 degrees 58 minutes East along the
easterly line of Lorimier Street a distance of 280 feet to the point or place of
beginning.
Together with the right of ingress and egress over and across that part of the above
described real estate not herein to convey to Grantee an undivided one•half interest
in and to the aforesaid Common Pleas Courthouse and an area 30 feet immediately
west of and adjacent to the west wing thereof, and a right of ingress and egress to
and from said building.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSION OF
CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
1. Order of County Commission. The County Commission of Cape Girardeau County,
Missouri hereby conveys unto the City of Cape Girardeau the county's undivided one-
half interest of the Common Pleas Courthouse located at 44 N. Lorimier Cape Girardeau,
MO by Quit -Claim deed.
2. Authorized Agent. The County Commission of Cape Girardeau County authorized Cape
Girardeau County Presiding Commissioner Clint Tracy to execute a Quit -Claim deed for
the purpose of terminating all conditions and agreements related to the above described
property.
3. Confirmation. The County Commission incorporates by reference the recitals, statements
and findings set forth above and confirms that they are true and correct.
4. Legal Effect. This Order shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.

and between COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, a political subdivision of the
State of Missos: Grantor, and CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, a municipal
corporation of the State of Missouri, Grantee.
Mailing Address of Grantee: 401 Independence St, Cape Girardeau, Missouri 63703.
WITNESSETH, that the said Grantor in consideration of the sum of Ten Dollars
($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration to it paid by the Grantee, the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged, does by these presents, remise, release, and forever Quit -Claim
unto the said Grantee, the following described Lots, Tracts, or Parcels of land, lying, being and
situate in the County Cape Girardeau and State of Missouri, to -wit:
