AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO NEGOTIATE A DESIGN-BUILD CONTRACT FOR
THE DESIGN AND IMPROVEMENTS TO CAPAHA
FIELD, IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to
negotiate a Design-Build contract with the first ranked team,
Penzel Construction Company/Gray Design Group, for the design
and construction of improvements to the Capaha Park Ball Field
including perimeter fencing, new sports lighting and upgraded
fan experience, in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri . If
negotiations fail with the first selected team, the City Manager
is hereby authorized to negotiate such design-build contract
With the second ranked team, Dille Traxel Architecture/Sides
Construction/Strickland Engineering.
ARTICLE 2 . This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and appr.val.
