AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR
OPERATING EXPENDITURES AND CAPITAL
EXPENDITURES FROM THE CONVENTION AND TOURISM
FUND FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2008,
IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, hereby appropriates One Hundred Ninety-four Thousand and
Five Hundred Dollars ($194 , 500 . 00) from the unappropriated balance
of the Convention and Tourism fund for expenditure during the
fiscal year ending June 30, 2008, for the following operating and
capital expenditures :
A. Storytelling Festival .
B. Riverfront Barge .
C. Enhance Existing Civil War/Historical Projects .
D. Grants to Keep Downtown Attractions Open During the Week.
E. Coordinated Marketing and Advertising Efforts .
F. Riverfront Electrical Service.
ARTICLE 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval .
