AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR
OPERATING EXPENDITURES FOR THE CONVENTION AND
VISITORS BUREAU FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING
JUNE 30, 2007, IN THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Council of the City of Cape Girardeau,
Missouri, hereby appropriates from the unappropriated balance of
the identified funds for expenditure during the fiscal year ending
June 30, 2007, for the operations specified, in the following
amounts :
Convention/Visitors Special Revenue Fund - Ten Thousand
Three Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($10, 325 . 00) for costs
associated with move of the Convention Visitors Center
operations.
ARTICLE 2 . The City Council hereby declares that an emergency
exists as provided for in Section 3 . 15 (c) of the City Charter for
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, in that this action involves
an appropriation for the payment of current expenses of City
government . Specifically, the City is obligated by contract to
provide funds for operating expenditures for the Convention and
Visitors Bureau, and that payment is due on or before June 30,
2007 .
Accordingly, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
nd after its passage and approval .
