AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING FEE SIMPLE INTEREST AND
TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENTS FROM VARIOUS
PROPERTY OWNERS FOR THE LEWIS AND CLARK' PARKWAY
(VETERANS MEMORIAL DRIVE PHASE 1) PROJECT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri hereby accepts fee simple interest
from the Southeast Missouri University Foundation, conveying property to the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri for the Lewis and Clark Parkway(Veterans Memorial Drive Phase 1)
project, more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
THAT PART OF UNITED STATES PRIVATE SURVEY NUMBERS 202 AND 790,
TOWNSHIP 31 NORTH, RANGE 13 EAST OF THE FIFTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN
IN THE COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE OF MISSOURI, BEING MORE

the Point of Beginning; thence leaving said East line, South 85°22'25" East, 52.43 feet;
thence South 12°53'45" East, 32.67 feet to a point on the North line of United States
Private Survey number 788; thence with said North line, North 84°15'28" West, 52.77
feet to a point on said East Right of Way line; thence leaving said North line and with
said East line, North 12°53'45" West, 31.59 feet to the Point of Beginning, and containing
1,606 square feet, more or less.
ARTICLE 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten days after its passage and
