AN ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION IN
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, ON THE
QUESTION OF WHETHER THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU SHALL ALLOW THE LICENSING OF
EXCURSION GAMBLING BOATS OR FLOATING
FACILITIES IN THE CITY; DESIGNATING THE TIME
OF HOLDING THE ELECTION; AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF
THE ELECTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1 . A special election is hereby ordered to be held
in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 2,
2010, on the following question:
QUESTION
Shall the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,
allow the licensing of excursion gambling
boats or floating facilities as now or
hereafter provided by Missouri gaming law in
the City?
ARTICLE 2 . The form of the notice of election for the
special election, a copy of which is hereby attached and made a
part hereof, is hereby approved.
ARTICLE 3 . The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to notify the County Clerk of Cape Girardeau County,
Missouri, of the passage of this ordinance no later than 5 : 00
o' clock P.M. on August 24, 2010, and to include in the
notification all of the terms and provisions required by the
Comprehensive Election Act, Chapter 115, Missouri Revised
Statutes, as amended.
ARTICLE 4 . This ordinance shall take effect ten days from
and after its passage and approval

CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
Notice is hereby given to the qualified voters of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, that the City Council of the City
has called a special election to be held in the City on November
2, 2010, commencing at 6 : 00 o' clock A.M. and closing at 7 : 00
o' clock P.M. on the question contained in the following sample
ballot :
