AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARIES OF
WARD 4 AND WARD 6 TO INCLUDE PROPERTIES
NEWLY ANNEXED INTO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS :
ARTICLE 1 . The boundary of "Ward 4" is hereby amended by
adding the legal descriptions of the following properties newly
annexed into the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri :
ADDITION TO WARD 4
TRACT 1
1216 OTTAWA LANE
A tract of land situated in Tract 1 of Lot 1 of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 19 in Township 31 North,
Range 14 East in Cape Girardeau County, Missouri,
described as follows : Commence at the southeast
corner of Tract No . 1, Lot 1 of the Northwest Quarter
of said Section 19; thence North 89° 52' West along
the south line of said Tract No. 1, 84 . 5 feet for the
point of beginning; thence North 09° 03' East, 119 . 5

ARTICLE 3 . If any section, subsection, sentence, clause,
phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held
invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent

jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct
and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions hereof.
ARTICLE 4 . It is the intention of the governing body and
it is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance
shall become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code
may be renumbered to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 5 . This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten days after its passage and approval .
