V AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A SPECIAL TAX BILL FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 929 WALNUT STREET FOR THE DEMOLITION OF A DANGEROUS BUILDING AND FOR THE ABATEMENT OF A NUISANCE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 7 AND CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU WHEREAS, the Building Supervisor of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, issued Order (s) causing a certain dangerous building to be demolished; and WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau did cause said building to be demolished in accordance with the Orders thereby incurring certain expenses; and WHEREAS, the Building Supervisor authorized the issuance of a certain tax bill; and WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, issued notices causing certain nuisances to be abated; and WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau did cause said nuisances to be abated in accordance with the Orders thereby incurring certain expenses; and WHEREAS, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 of the City Code authorize the issuance of a tax bill to recover said expenses; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS : Article 1 . There is hereby levied, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and ordered to place on file a Special Tax Bill. issued in accordance with the Order (s) of the Building Supervisor and the Nuisance Abatement Officer which shall be a lien against the following described property in accordance with law, in the following amount, until paid or collected by the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri : $6, 891 . 82 - 929 Walnut Street All of the West 75 feet of Lot Fourteen (14) in Block Eleven (11) of Giboney Houck Third Subdivision, fronting 50 feet on Benton Street by 75 deep on Walnut Street in 1 the City and County of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, as shown by plat filed in Plat Book 2 at page 51 . For work clone and costs and expenses incurred in abating a nuisance by demolition of a dangerous building under the provisions of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and chargeable against : Ivan D , Bragg (deceased) 929 Walnut St. Cape Girardeau, MO 63701 Parcel No . 21-114-00-04-01500 in the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; said building has been demolished in accordance with the Order of the Building Supervisor dated October 26, 2015, and the costs incurred for demolition of the buildings were Six Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($6, 300 . 00) ; and For work done and costs and expenses incurred in abating a nuisance by the removal of weeds and trash under the provisions of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, said property has been cleared in accordance with the Order of the Nuisance Abatement Officer, and the costs incurred for said abatement were Five Hundred Ninety- one Dollars and Eighty-two Cents ($591 . 82) . Therefore, I , Gayle L.
