AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT TO
UNION ELECTRIC COMPANY D/B/A AMEREN MISSOURI
FOR ELECTRICAL LINE IMPROVEMENTS TO SERVE
THE GREATER CAPE GIRARDEAU BUSINESS PARK, IN
THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU,
MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS
Article 1 The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to
execute, on behalf of the City, a Temporary Construction
Easement to Union Electric Company d/b/a Ameren Missouri,
adjacent to the right of way lines of I-55, Veterans Memorial
Drive and LaSalle Avenue, for electrical line improvements to
serve the Greater Cape Girardeau Business Park, in the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, more particularly described as
follows
The easement will be a fifty (50) foot wide easement
on the East right of way line of I-55 and West right
of way line of Veterans Memorial and the Southern
right of way line of LaSalle Avenue and will be used
to cross over to existing utility lines
ARTICLE 2 Pursuant to Section 3 15(a) of the Charter of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, this measure is adopted as
an emergency measure as it constitutes a Bill concerning the
immediate preservation of public peace, property, health, safety
or morals, in that electrical line improvements are needed due
to pending construction in the City's business park
Accordingly, this ordinance will take effect immediately upon
its passage and approval
