AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO MIDAMERICA
HOTELS CORPORATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ON
VETERANS MEMORIAL DRIVE, IN THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of
Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is hereby authorized to execute a Quit
Claim Deed to MidAmerica Hotels Corporation, for property
located on Veterans Memorial Drive, in the City of Cape
Girardeau, Missouri, more particularly described as follows, to -
wit:
A PART OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER AND A PART OF THE
SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 22, TOWNSHIP 31 NORTH,
RANGE 13 EAST, OF THE FIFTH PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, CITY
AND COUNTY OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, STATE OF MISSOURI, BEING
MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
Commencing at the northwest corner of a tract of land
as recorded in the land records of the County
Recorder's Office in book no. 411 at page no. 455, said
point being at the intersection of the south right of
way line of U.S. Route 61 and the east right of way
line of Interstate Route 55; Thence along said south
right of way line the following courses and distances:
S 58054' 45" E, 512.05 feet; Thence S 28024'37"E,
107.54 feet; Thence S 11°07'53" W, 36.33 feet; Thence S
78052'10"E, 55.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence leaving said south right of way line, S
32°30'47" W, 137.14 feet; Thence S 11007'50" W, 12.31
feet to the point of a curve concave to the northeast,
having a radius of 125.00 feet, and a central angle of
46°56'00"; Thence in a southerly direction along said
curve, 102.39 feet to a point on the south line of a
tract of land as recorded in book no. 691 at page no.
299; Thence along the south line of said tract, N
89°55'56" E, 84.28 feet to the point of cusp with a
curve concave to the northeast, having a radius of
75.00 feet, and a central angle of 87°57'11" and from
which point a radial line bears N 13°10'39" E; Thence
leaving said south line and along said curve in a
northwesterly direction, 115.13 feet; Thence N
11007'50" E, 140.01 feet to the True Point of
Beginning, containing 0.21 acres more or less. (8,967
square feet)
ARTICLE 2. This ordinance will be in full force and effect
ten days after its passage and approval.
