RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR THE PROPOSAL FROM RCH
DEVELOPMENT, INC., FOR THE RIVER HERITAGE APARTMENTS
SENIOR CITIZEN HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, RCH Development, Inc. is proposing to build forty-
four (44) single story garden style apartments for senior
citizens on an approximate 5 acre site directly north of Walker
Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Cape Girardeau recognizes the need for
safe, affordable, quality homes for senior citizens; and
WHEREAS, the financing and tax credits available through
the Missouri Housing Development Commission will provide the
financial resources to develop these apartments with affordable
rents, and;
WHEREAS, the financing and tax credits available through
the Missouri Housing Development Commission are limited and
competitive resources.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CAPE GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. The City Council hereby expresses its support
for the proposal from RCH Development, Inc., for the 2014 MHDC
Multi -family Rental Production Program Notice of Funding
Availability, for the River Heritage Apartments Project for
Senior Citizen Housing.
