AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 22-82 OF
THE CITY CODE, RELATING TO PLACING
HANDBILLS ON OR IN VEHICLES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAPE
GIRARDEAU, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
ARTICLE 1. All of Section 22-82 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, which reads as follows:
Sec. 22-82. - Placing handbills on or in vehicles.
No person shall throw or deposit any handbill in or
upon any vehicle; provided, however, that it shall not be
unlawful in any public place for a person to hand out or
distribute a handbill to any occupant of a vehicle who is
willing to accept it.

ARTICLE 2. It is the intention of the governing body and it
is hereby ordained that the provisions of this ordinance shall
become and be made a part of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and the sections of this Code may
be renumbered to accomplish such intention.
ARTICLE 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after ten days after its final passage and approval.
